Family Health Center on Virginia’s dental clinic is dedicated to giving your family the smiles they deserve through friendly service. Our dentists and dental support staff provide high-quality dental care, and our dentists are certified to provide child-friendly First Dental Home services to improve the oral health of your youngest family members. To promote your family’s beautiful smiles we welcome Medicaid, CHIP and most private and employer-based insurances.

Dental services through our clinic include:

  • Teeth cleaning
  • Oral exams
  • Teeth X-rays
  • Fluoride application
  • Fillings and extractions
  • Protective sealants
  • Referrals to specialists, if needed

 

It is recommended that a child should see a dentist by their first birthday and should see a dentist every six months to help prevent cavities and other dental issues. Adults should be seen by a dentist at least once per year, more often if a health concern arises.

Our Dentists:

 

Kristi Karrington, D.M.D. – Family Dentist

Dr. Karrington received her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and went on to complete her dental degree at Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. She returned home to Texas where she completed an advanced education in General Dentistry residency at Baylor College of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA), and North Texas Dental Society. Dr. Karrington is certified for child-friendly First Dental Home.

Dr. Karrington is actively involved with the Golden Retriever Rescue of North Texas. She and her husband have two tots together – Henry a twelve year old Bichon and Duckie a Boykin Spaniel bird dog. She enjoys traveling, running, fishing, and being outdoors with her husband.

 

 

 

Lacy Patterson, D.M.D. – Family Dentist

Dr. Patterson grew up in Waco, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University. She then went on to complete her dental degree at Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. After completing dental school, she returned to Texas to complete a residency in advanced education in general dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA), and North Texas Dental Society. Dr. Patterson is certified for child-friendly First Dental Home.

Dr. Patterson is a proud mom to Lucky Boone, her golden retriever, and a proud aunt to Duckie and Henry, her fur niece and nephew. She enjoys morning coffee, running, baking, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with her loved ones. She is actively involved with the Golden Retriever Rescue of North Texas.

Dr. Patterson is excited to continue her work with community health centers and to improve the oral health of the McKinney community.
