Counseling for Children & Adults
Counseling at the Family Health Center at Virginia Parkway will be focused intervention counseling, which consists of brief 20-30 minute counseling sessions. These brief sessions are specifically designed to treat the issue that the patient is currently struggling with, and if more traditional counseling is necessary, the counselor will refer them to community resources that are available for the level of counseling that is needed. Our Behavioral Health Counselor will be able to help with:
- Mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, etc.
- Weight management and education
- Managing and living with a chronic illness
- Behavioral issues in children, including ADHD
- Smoking cessation
- Alcohol/drug abuse
- Managing chronic pain
- And more…
We welcome Medicaid, CHIP, Medicare and insurances. Uninsured patients benefit from a sliding fee scale based on family size and income.
